If I had to name the turning point for my business, it would be THIS…
Building an email list, and specifically, building a list of BUYERS.
You’ve probably heard the line many, MANY times before: “The money is in the list.”
Well, it’s absolutely, categorically, 100% true.
Speak to any marketer who’s actually making consistent money online and they’ll tell you their list is still by far their number one business asset.
Yep – it’s NOT AI!
It’s their email subscribers.
And it’s pretty much been that way since the beginning of the internet.
So, why doesn’t everyone build a list?
Because they think it’s too hard, too technical, or too time-consuming.
Another HUGE barrier is actually getting people onto their list in the first place…
You create a lead magnet, set up a squeeze page, and then damn it, it suddenly hits you…
You now need to get traffic and attract actual subscribers.
And that’s the hard part.
But I have an alternative list building method that actually overcomes that problem – by getting other people to drive the traffic for you.
(Those people are affiliates)
What’s more, you won’t just be building ANY email list…
You will be building an email list of proven buyers.
And let me tell you, that’s a game changer for your business, because buyers are much more responsive. 😊
They are already proven to spend money…
And that makes a massive difference to your results.
So, here’s what you’re going to be doing…
- Create a digital product for the internet marketing niche – No real investment required.
- Create a couple of upsell products to add to your offer – Again, no real investment required, just time and effort.
- Put together a simple sales funnel – Only requires a domain name and a basic hosting package.
- Launch your offer on WarriorPlus and recruit affiliates to sell it for you – No existing audience needed, because the affiliates do all the selling for you.
- Put everyone who buys onto your email list and then follow up with more products.
You might also be wondering why you should enter the internet marketing niche and not a different niche…
Well, the honest answer is that IM is still by far and away one of the most profitable niches out there.
It also has the two essential ingredients for making this model work:
- A shedload of buyers who are actively looking for things to buy.
- A boatload of affiliates who are searching for quality offers to promote. Remember, the affiliates you get on board will make or break your launch, because you won’t be driving much traffic yourself (unless you DO already have an existing audience of course)
So, here’s how to do this yourself…
Step 1 – Create an offer that other marketers will find valuable
Lose the thought that you have to be in any way experienced or already be making money online to enter the internet marketing niche.
You just need to have the ability to create something that other marketers will find valuable…
And for me that means either:
- A solution for achieving some kind of results – so a text/video tutorial, GPT, tool or piece of software that takes people from point A to point B
Or
- Something the buyer can profit from directly – e.g. PLR, licensed images, a done-for-you funnel, etc.
When you’re starting from scratch, my opinion would be that it’s a great idea to combine the two.
If you are relying solely on option 1, you really need to show people some kind of RESULT in order for it to sell well.
For example, if I put together a tutorial about how to build an email list, it’s useful for sure, but it’s not really attractive on its own, UNLESS I am positioning it as ‘How I built an email list of 500 people in 30 days and made $1k from scratch’ – or something along those lines.
And if you’re starting with nothing, you probably DON’T have a sexy result like that to show them.
A ‘boring’ how to build an email list guide not backed by results probably won’t sell on its own – so you’ll need to combine it with option 2…
Now, offer this with PLR and suddenly it becomes a MUCH more attractive offer.
Step 2 – Create the products, and make a funnel
Now you have your idea, the next stage is to create your products.
You’ll need a frontend product, and a couple of additional products to offer as upsells.
Why is this necessary? Why not just create one product and be done with it?
Most WarriorPlus products are priced low (think $9-$27), so you won’t make much money if you’re only offering one product.
Also, and this is the most important reason – affiliates won’t touch your offer unless you have a funnel behind it…
Offer a $17 product with 50% commissions and affiliates can make a maximum of $8.50 on each sale.
But make that product $14 with 75% commissions and then add two additional upsells priced at $27 and $47 (each with 50% commissions to affiliates) and you are giving them the opportunity to earn MUCH more.
As you go, you’ll also discover that upsells don’t have to be hard to create.
How about a collection of 100 prompts that match with your frontend product, or a GPT that helps them automate the task you showed them?
Upsells can be easy to create… Just think about the next natural step for the buyer.
So, create your products, and make sure they are QUALITY products.
The goal here is impress your buyers, so it goes without saying that you don’t want to be offering rubbish.
Give people quality and your reputation will soon build, giving you more momentum on each launch you do and giving you happy buyers, which really helps when it comes to selling them more stuff further down the line.
Finally, you need a compelling sales page for each product in your funnel.
I think it was Tony Shepherd who gave me this advice, but I sometimes create my sales pages BEFORE I create the actual product. This ensures I can map out literally the perfect product/offer that I couldn’t refuse as a buyer and then a roadmap to work from in terms of creating the product.
It’s really important to be clear on your product angle/hook – so spend time on this.
Step 3 – Put your product on WarriorPlus and recruit your affiliates
I won’t outline how to set up your funnel on WarriorPlus, but they have a REALLY useful guide that basically takes you through everyhting.
What I will talk about however is recruiting affiliates…
As I said previously, your affiliates will do all the selling for you, so getting them on board will literally make or break your launch.
And there are a couple of keys to successfully getting affiliates to give you a YES, even if you’re brand new to this and you have zero existing reputation.
Firstly, give them the opportunity to make good money from promoting your offer…
So, that means having a quality product with a decent funnel behind it, and an attractive commission structure (as I mentioned in the last step).
Secondly, make their life as easy as possible.
Put together a solid JV page that clearly outlines your offer and what it’s all about, with prominent links for affiliates to sign up, and all the resources they will need to promote it (e.g. ready-made affiliate swipe emails, promo graphics, etc).
A lot of people fail on this point – because you look at the JV page and it’s half finished, or just doesn’t actually explain in simple terms what the offer IS.
The top affiliates are getting approached ALL the time, and so if you confuse them in any way they’re just not going to invest the time figuring out what your offer is.
MAKE THEIR LIFE EASY!
So, what about finding affiliates to promote for you?
My best piece of advice would be get to know them well before you approach them about your launch…
Get on their email list, follow them on social media, and get active in groups where these affiliates participate. Chat to them, share your opinions, tell them what you’re up to…
Basically, show genuine interest and that you are a real human being.
You want to “get on their radar” well before you approach them and say “hey, will you promote my product.”
And when you DO, yes… make their life easy!
Be clear what you’re offering and why they should promote – and send them a review copy right away so they can SEE you’ve produced quality. Don’t make them ask for it, just provide the link right away.
By doing the above, you may be surprised by who you can persuade to promote for you, even as a beginner with no track record.
Aside from directly contacting potential affiliates, where else should you promote your launch?
MunchEye
One of the best places to start is MunchEye, a leading product launch calendar where affiliates scout for upcoming launches in the internet marketing space.
Listing your product on MunchEye helps you gain visibility among serious affiliates who are always on the lookout for high-converting offers.
To maximize interest, ensure your listing includes key details like commission rates, launch dates, and promotional materials (swipe files, email sequences, banners, etc.). You can link to your affiliate/JV page – or even just by creating a Google doc and sharing access to it.
Facebook Groups
Another powerful strategy is leveraging Facebook groups dedicated to affiliate marketing and product launches.
Do a quick search and you’ll come across many groups like ‘JV Launch Calendar’, ‘JV Launches, WarriorPlus, JVZoo, Affiliates’ and others that are all filled with marketers actively seeking products to promote.
You’ll want to make a post with details of your launch, including an outline of the product, the launch date and time, commission structure, affiliate sign-up links and so on.
One thing that really helps here is to have an attractive graphic to grab the attention of potential partners…
Again, it’s about showing off your product and making it look as attractive as possible.

Be sure to check the rules of each individual group before posting. These groups are designed for exactly for this purpose, but it’s always wise to double check exactly what you can and can’t post.
Some groups also offer the opportunity to pin your launch in the group for extra visibility. This may or may not be worth it depending on how active the group is, but it’s something to keep in mind.
Step 4 – LAUNCH – and add your buyers to your email list
You’ll want to set this up so that each buyer is added to your email list.
In fact, this is the MAIN reason for doing a launch like this…
The upfront profit is lovely and hugely exciting, but it’s on the backend where the real money is made.
You’ll build a list of proven BUYERS from each launch you do – to which you can follow up with more offers (both your own and affiliate offers).
And so rather than just doing a one off launch, you are building the basis of a real business.
From there, you basically just rinse and repeat. 😊
Each time you launch, you’ll learn so much and refine your process bit by bit.
And your business will grow.
Writing Your Welcome Sequence
When someone buys and joins your list, you don’t just want to send them the product and vanish…
You want to start building a relationship.
That starts with your welcome email.
This email should:
• Deliver the product.
• Introduce you (share a little about who you are).
• Set expectations (how often you’ll email, what they’ll get).
• Leave them excited for what’s coming next.
From there, you’ll want to create a short welcome sequence of 2 to 4 additional emails that keep the conversation going.
Example sequence:
• Email 1 (immediate): Deliver the product + short intro.
• Email 2 (next day): Tell your story and why you do what you do.
• Email 3 (day after): Share a valuable tip or resource.
• Email 4: Mention a product or service you recommend.
Final Words
If you’ve made it this far, you can probably see that launching your own product on WarriorPlus is not some mysterious, closed-door strategy reserved for “big names” in the industry.
It’s a process.
A simple, repeatable process.
You create a valuable offer.
You build a small funnel.
You recruit affiliates.
You launch.
You add buyers to your list.
You follow up and build relationships.
And that’s how real online businesses are built.
The most important shift to make is this: stop thinking about a launch as a one-off cash grab.
Yes, the upfront sales are exciting. Watching those notifications come in is a buzz you won’t forget. But the real prize is the buyers list you build in the process. Every single person who purchases through your funnel is someone who has raised their hand and said, “I trust you enough to spend money.”
That is powerful.
With each launch, you are stacking assets. More buyers. More data. More experience. More relationships with affiliates. More credibility.
Even if your first launch is small, it lays the foundation for the next one. And the next.
Momentum builds faster than you think.
You’ll also grow in confidence. The first time you set up a funnel, it might feel technical. The first time you approach affiliates, it might feel uncomfortable. The first time you hit the launch button, your heart will probably race. But once you’ve done it, you realise it’s completely doable…
You refine your process. You improve your offer angles. You strengthen your JV page. You write better emails. Each launch becomes sharper and more strategic.
Most people never do this because they overthink it. They wait until everything is perfect. They convince themselves they need more experience, more results, or more authority. In reality, what they need is action.
You now have the blueprint…
Create something valuable. Package it properly. Build a simple funnel. Make it attractive for affiliates. Treat your buyers well.
And most importantly, keep going. 😊
Because when you combine launches with consistent follow-up and relationship building, you are no longer just “trying to make money online.”
You are building a buyers list.
And that is the cornerstone of a sustainable, long-term internet marketing business.
